EA komt vandaag met aankondiging nieuwe games [UPDATED]

EA en Maxis hebben op Twitter laten weten dat er vandaag een EA Studio Showcase komt (een soort persconferentie) waarin zij ook een aantal nieuwe games gaan aankondigen.

Electronic Arts is unveiling several new titles tomorrow, Tuesday July 20, at the annual Studio Showcase media…

Wat er aangekondigd gaat worden is niet bekend maar we hopen natuurlijk op een officiële aankondiging van een uitbreiding of accessoires pakket voor De Sims 3.

De EA Showcase is te bekijken op Gamespot en begint om 1PM PST.
En dat is voor ons om 22.00 uur!!

EA Sizzles Up Summertime with Six New Game Announcements

Details to Be Announced at EA’s Annual Summer Media Event

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jul 20, 2010 EA will unveil six new titles today at its annual Studio Showcase media event on its Redwood City campus. These latest products from EA range from the whimsical to strategic, athletic to horrific. EA will also be showcasing its strong digital initiatives.

The briefing can be viewed live exclusively at GameSpot at 1 PM PST on Tuesday, July 20. Media will be able to get their hands-on the games and get face time with the game developers. An appearance by San Francisco Bay Area NFL(R) athletes will showcase a new title from EA SPORTS(TM), also to be announced at the event.

“We’re proud of the games EA is releasing this year and pleased with the awards they won at E3,” said EA’s COO John Schappert. “Our Summer Showcase is dedicated to highlighting the progress on our games as well as announcing new titles, features and services.”

  2. Met Spore heb ik niks meer: ik had zelfs een fansite erover maar die is al een poos dicht 😛 Ik ben wel benieuwd waar ze mee komen: zal wel een behoorlijke lijst worden en hopelijk ook wat voor ons Simsverslaafden 😛

  5. Het is wel zo dat ze alles van EA gaan vertellen he: niet alleen over De Sims enzo, en EA heeft veel games en vast ook veel nieuwe games dus het wordt veel wat te vertellen is. Hele waslijsten? We zien het wel allemaal 😀 En wat Sims 3 consoles betreft: een erg grote presentatie was er al; op de E3 dus daar zal nu weinig aandacht voor zijn denk ik.

  8. Schijnt een apart spel te worden. Volgens de website van de comic con gaat EA op 24 juli er een presentatie aan wijden (bij de comic con). Volgens die website word het een ruimte RPG.

In order to defeat the malicious Darkspore, players will need to collect an arsenal of living weapons – genetic heroes with different combat abilities – and upgrade them with tens of thousands of collectible body parts and armor.

    Darkspore will feature three unique classes of five different genetic hero types, with a limitless number of upgrades and customizations available through the parts players collect on each planet level. As players progress, Darkspore builds in intensity, with new planets and enemy forces requiring players to strategically select the right squad and ability combinations to succeed in their missions.

    EA is scheduled to launch Darkspore in early 2011.
