The temptation of course is to create a favoured pet of past or present – and not just visually but in terms of personality too. This is can be done in surprising detail as you assign traits such as skittishness, faithfulness and the all-encompassing desire to shred furniture.
Since all pets have their own traits, whether you’ve created them or not, they’ll get on with or hate each other just as the virtual humans do. Obviously this means a lot of dog-on-cat violence, but creating a puppy and kitten that end up best friends for life is enough to reduce even the hardest of hearts to baby-talking jelly.
