The first main difference is that instead of controlling a household, you are managing an entire kingdom and its needs. According to the Electronic Arts rep that was showing The Sims Medieval to me, the “heart and creativity of the Sims was kept, while new game play elements were introduced”. While individual “Hero Sims” can be micro-managed, it is ultimately the needs of your kingdom as a whole that you must pay attention to and not neglect if you want to succeed. The Sims Medieval is set in *gasp* the Middle Ages “in an ancient land of adventure, drama and romance, [where] players will be able to get medieval like never before!”
