Gamespot over tieners in De Sims 3 Levensweg – nieuwe screens

De Engelstalige Gamespot heeft een artikel online gezet met daarin leuke details over het leven van een tiener in De Sims 3 Levensweg, er zitten ook 3 nieuwe screens bij.

Unfortunately, it’s possible for sloppy pranksters to get caught–if not by the cops, then by their parents or guardians. Generations will include multiple new types of punishment levels for teenagers beyond the usual scolding, which includes being banned from using their favorite items in the house (the equivalent of revoked TV or computer privileges), being put in the dreaded time-out, and being grounded (unable to leave the house)–the even-more-dreaded punishment than the time-out. In such cases, teens can attempt to sneak around their punishments by using the forbidden household objects or by sneaking out of the house when grounded.

Taking the new “rebellious” trait will actually give them a bonus in their quest to defy authority. Juvenile delinquents who take this trait will get a bonus positive moodlet after doing other socially unacceptable things, like copying homework or getting a tattoo. Teens who have less of a wild streak (or just know what’s good for them) can otherwise try to commute their own sentences by doing chores or using the “beg for forgiveness” social.

SVT video verslag van De Sims 3 Levensweg presentatie in Londen

14 april 2011 waren Jordy van SVT en Xelles van Sims Nieuws in Londen om een presentatie bijtewonen van De Sims 3 Levensweg. SVT heeft dit video verslag online gezet waarin we o.a. een interview van Jordy en Xelles zien met associate producer Graham Nardone.

And of course, it isn’t childhood without a parent there recording every moment for posterity, which is where the game’s new video camera object comes in. If you’re holding the camera, you can choose to record what’s happening and then replay it on any TV in your Sim’s house. You can also capture moments for external sharing — key life moments are added as snapshots to the game’s new Scrapbook feature, and can then be uploaded directly to the official Sims 3 page or even a player’s Facebook account.

Twee nieuwe interviews met Graham Nardone over Levensweg

Strategy Informer: Some of the previous Sims 3 expansions have had similarities to expansions from Sims 2, and Generations itself contains elements from Sims 2:University Life, Teen life etc…, why did you stop at where you are now and not include more of that past content?

Graham Nardone: Well for our players, obviously they are very passionate – we have this huge community out there and they are very vocal about what they want to see. So yeah sometimes we’ll take old content and re-do them in brand new ways for The Sims 3. ForThe Sims 3: Generations, it was a chance for us to work on a theme we’d never explored before, and we’re looking forward to see how they react to that, and what they really love about the expansion.

Gamerzine: Looking to what you can do with regards to pranks and things like that. Is this the cheekiest expansion you’ve ever done?

Graham Nardone: Well yeah, there’s a bunch of ways you can get into trouble! The kids do it too, but I really love that aspect for the teens just because they do get angsty. They have these mood swings and of course the rebellious streak is fantastic for them. With the chemistry table you can have the teens get in trouble and it’s funny because you’ll pour a potion for another sim and leave it out on the side for them to drink, they’ll drink it and suddenly they’re racing to the bathroom. There’s just all sorts of ways to mess with people. It’s really great addition for give players who like to mess with their sims and like to screw with their lives.
