SVT review van De Sims Social

So, in short, the Sims Social is a good first attempt of EA to make a social game on Facebook. The Sims theme is done quite well, by using original music of the Sims games. Also the social aspect is quite nice, though it’s a bit of a shame that you can’t see your friends walk around when you are both online on Facebook and are playing the game.

The bugs are quite annoying though, but again we assume that the team is working on them so they might be gone soon! In the meantime, you can have a great time with the Sims Social when you are being bored on Facebook! You can’t play it for too long though because, as soon as your energy is fully depleted, you need to wait for it to be back again (or buy new energy).

SN Review: The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff

Sims Nieuws teammember FranSor has written an expanded review of The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff, and the review is now online. Every detail is discussed in the review, so be sure to read it!

To be frank, this is the first accessory pack I bought myself. Like many of you I do not really like accessory packs, I even don’t need them for my collection. But since this is the fourth accessory pack and , like the Dutch saying, a donkey will not bump into the same rock three times and hurt itself again.

SN Review: De Sims 3 Buurtleven Accessoires

So first thing I did was check out the new makeup! This is Medieval times so I was not really sure how they would do the makeup. First it turns out, a sim cannot apply the make up on the mirror, it can only be applied in CAS. Not sure I like that.

The amount of makeup choices are limited, only one each for eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick, and three for blush. However, what I did like was that these are not the sophisticated types of makeup we get in modern times, they are much more rough.

Here you can see the eyeshadow and blush applied in their standard colour that comes with

De Sims 3 Buurtleven Accessoires review van Simsvip

While I do see where the idea sparked with this pack, I do not think the ideas were executed with the potential they could have had. This Pack gave me the impression I would have stuff to build and decorate my Town with, and everything in this theme lacked the items I need to make this pack feel right. If I had the chance to re-name it, I would call it Sims 3 Modern Life. The name “Town Life” can be very misleading.

My overall Score for Sims 3 Town Life is 4/10. I must admit this is probably the only stuff pack so far with a great theme, however the ideas fell apart somewhere along the way. Town Life is not really a town without ways to change your Town.
