Gamespot geeft Sims 3 Wereldavonturen een 8,5

De Engelstalige Gamespot heeft een review online van Sims 3 Wereldavonturen:

The Sims 3: World Adventures further explores the series’ continued focus on performing specific tasks for specific rewards, yet offers enough new tools, items, and social interactions to please those who prefer the free-form play for which The Sims is known. From martial arts and nectar (that is, wine) making, to firetraps and puzzle solving, there’s a lot to do and a lot of playthings to muck about with. This expansion may not fix the few technical troubles that still ail The Sims 3, but it adds enough to keep your mind off the drawbacks and centered directly on the fresh and wonderful new content. In other words, Sims fans should expect plenty more sleepless nights ahead.

Sinds kort ligt de allereerste De Sims 3 uitbreiding, De Sims 3 Wereldavonturen in de winkel. Een aantal fansites hebben speciaal voor jullie een verslag op hun website geplaatst waarin ze meer vertellen over hun belevenissen met de uitbreiding.

Sims 3 Wereldavonturen: Carl’s fotografie guide

Carl blijft op zijn blog maar met guides komen voor Sims 3 Wereldavonturen, na een guide over het maken van nectar en de Oosterse vechtkunsten (zie deze berichten) heeft hij nu een guide online gezet over fotografie.

Photography is a new skill introduced in the Sims 3 World Adventures expansion pack. While Photography’s not a good way to make money early on in the game, it can provide a nice steady income later. With this skill, you’ll direct your Sim to photograph landmarks, Sims doing different things, and objects in the game. It’s certainly not the best skill in the Sims 3’s World Adventures, but it’s very accessible to any Sim in any profession. Children can even learn to take photographs.

Sims 3 Wereldavonturen: Nectar maken

Na zijn Martial Arts guide heeft Carl’s Sims 3 Guides nu een guide online gezet voor het maken van nectar.

Nectar making is a new and complex skill introduced to the Sims 3 by the World Adventures expansion pack. Much like wine making (which is of course what “nectar” making is modeled after), your Sim will stomp grapes and other fruits to brew them into wonderful combinations that are bottled and aged in racks. In this guide, we’ll learn the basics to making a good Nectar and recipes that might help you to make more money from aging these robust drinks. Let’s learn some of the fundamentals: how to make a basement, getting started with nectar making and what factors affect the price of a bottle.

Next Games geeft Sims 3 Wereldavonturen een 8,8

In De Sims 3 hebben de characters nog meer persoonlijkheid en details die je naar believen kunt aanpassen en met de eerste uitbreiding kan je zelfs ein-de-lijk op reis gaan! Bezoek locaties als Frankrijk en China, beleef er te gekke avonturen en verzamel leuke antieke souvenirs. De Sims 3: Wereldavonturen is geen uitbreiding zoals we gewoon zijn, maar is wel vermakelijk en daardoor zijn we zeker benieuwd naar wat de toekomst zal brengen. Maxis, doe zo verder!
